Unemployment or Uemployability?

Greetings people...

I thought a lot about what should my first post be like, it didn't help. But a national daily did. A recent news article showed some interesting facts about unemployment and something which is even more important - Unemployability.
It would be shocking (actually unbelievable) to hear that ONLY 8% of the Indian youth are actually unemployed! Moreover 53% of employed youth suffer from skill deprivation. To sum up - 82.5 million of the youth are unemployable.

Now when we have stepped a foot forward into a new world of our own choice ,where we know that our brain cells will automatically start processing at a higher speed without any outside force, are we sure that our senses will be totally or even satisfied a bit ??
The curriculum is still the same since ages (eg. DU -Computer Engineering has same syllabus since 32 years). The professors don't bother to take classes and even if they do, the classroom teachings have always been boring and useless!
The companies demand that you be fully equipped with the knowledge of your subject (which by no means is included in your curriculum ).
But at the same time. you have to follow the curriculum in order to clear the examinations and get a degree.

90% of employment opportunities require vocational skills but 90% of employed youth has bookish knowledge.

The question still remains unanswered -- Who are better employees - your university toppers or real geniuses ?
